Here are simple steps you need to start making an income online and if you follow these steps as you are reading this article then you should be making money in no time.

Step 1: Sell your own product or find a product to sell.

The easy way to go about this is by using a place called clickbank. Here you can browse over 10,000 products. Clickbank is a marketplace for selling digital products (information). People love information and will buy it all the time. Think of something you know a lot about or something you are good at like maybe golf or cooking. Now find a product to promote that is related to what you are good at. Sign up for clickbank and get your nickname. Now visit the sales page for the product you chose and click near the bottom on the Affiliate Link. Here you will find out the link that you need to promote in order to sell the product as an affiliate. There you go, now every time someone clicks on your link and buys the product you will make some money. Now the problem is getting people to click on your link. If you are following the steps then you are already 1 step ahead of everyone else.

Step 2: Buy a domain name and hosting.

The key here is to buy a domain name that is easy to remember and includes some keywords related to your product. So if you are a master cooking expert and you want to sell products related to cooking or grilling out or something then like before, check out the Affiliate link on the salespage for the product you want to promote. There will usually be a list of keywords that you can use. For example you may want to buy the domain name www.top-griller.com - I have no idea if that name is taken but if you are selling a product about grilling then that would be a pretty good domain name to have. Here is the web host I use, they are inexpensive and very helpful and easy to use. You can go live and ask them anything and they are more often than not able to help you out.

Step 3: Create your review website.

What this means is that you will want to write a review about the product or products you chose to sell on your website. Check out this site for a good example of how to set up your website. I used Netscape
composer to build that site. Just download it for free by looking up netscape composer on google. Make sure to download the 7.1 or below version. To host the website you are going to create I use Ipowerweb.com.

Now pick 4 or 5 products related to grilling if that is what you chose and write a review for each of them.

Step 4: Get visitors to your website.

This is a crucial step in starting to make money online because if no one ever visits your website then there is no one to buy anything from you. To get tons of visitors what you will want to do is start writing articles about your website and then include a link to your website at the end of the article. Those are just a few, if you want a bigger list then just do a search on google and you will find several places to submit to.

Step 5: Cash your commission checks.

This is the basic way to make money online. There are also more advanced ways such as using adwords and buying advertising, but this is the most cost effective way to make money online because you are not paying for any advertising. All you will be spending is some time to set everything up. Try it out, it can't hurt and after all it could start making you some nice extra income just for writing articles.
